Questions
About the map
What is on the map?
81 saints placed where they lived or reposed, 15 journeys of apostles and missionaries, and 43 holy places: the seven Ecumenical Councils, the patriarchates, and great monasteries and shrines.
Why are some journeys marked “by tradition”?
Scripture records St. Paul’s journeys. The missions of Andrew, Thomas and Nina come to us from the Church’s holy tradition, so their routes are marked that way.
Which calendar are the feast days on?
Feasts are shown on the New Calendar, with the Old Calendar date beside them. If you chose the Old Calendar on our calendar page, “today” follows it.
