St. Remigius of Reims
Remigius was made bishop of Reims at 22 and served for more than seventy years. After King Clovis of the Franks won a battle he had promised to Christ, Remigius baptized him and three thousand of his warriors around 496, saying, “Bow your head, proud Sicambrian; adore what you have burned, and burn what you have adored.” France was born from that baptism.
