St. Job of Pochaiv

c. 1551–1651 · Pochaiv Lavra · Feast October 28

Job became a monk at ten and lived for a hundred years. As abbot of Pochaiv he strengthened the monastery, set up a printing press for Orthodox books, and stood firm against the pressure to accept union with Rome. He prayed in a cave above the monastery, where the marks of his knees are still shown. His incorrupt relics rest in the Lavra.
