The Eastern Cross/Orthodox World/St. Ludmila of Bohemia

Saint
St. Ludmila of Bohemia
Ludmila and her husband Bořivoj were baptized, by tradition by St. Methodius himself. She raised her grandson Wenceslas in the faith, which angered her daughter-in-law Drahomíra, who wanted the old gods. Drahomíra had her strangled with her own veil in 921. She is a patron saint of the Czech people.
