The Apologies of St. Justin Martyr
St. Justin the Philosopher · image, public domain
St. Justin was a philosopher who found Christ, and he wrote to the emperor to show that Christians were no threat and should not be killed for the name alone.
Near the end of the First Apology he describes a Sunday gathering: the readings, the prayers, the bread and wine and the collection for the poor. It is the oldest full account of the Liturgy.
