The Eastern Cross/Library/Hymns on the Nativity
St. Ephrem, the deacon of Nisibis and Edessa, taught the faith in hymns his choirs sang. These nineteen are all wonder: the Ancient of Days a baby, the Word silent in a manger, the Virgin who held her Maker.
The Church calls him the Harp of the Spirit. Read them slowly, around Christmas if you can.
