The Eastern Cross/Library/Letters of St. Leo the Great
St. Leo's letters to bishops and emperors, including his Tome to St. Flavian on the two natures of Christ. When it was read at the Council of Chalcedon the bishops cried out, “Peter has spoken through Leo!”
They show the long struggle around Ephesus and Chalcedon from the inside.
