The Eastern Cross/Library/Letters to St. Olympias
St. Olympias was a widow and deaconess in Constantinople who gave her fortune to the poor and stood by St. John when he was exiled. From his place of banishment he wrote to her about grief, despondency and patience.
They are letters of a saint to a saint, and some of the most tender things he ever wrote.
