The Eastern Cross/Library/On the Trinity
St. Hilary was bishop of Poitiers in Gaul. When he refused to condemn St. Athanasius, the emperor exiled him to Asia Minor, and there he wrote this great work on the Father and the Son.
It opens with the story of his own conversion and ends with a prayer that he may always confess the faith he was baptized into.
