The Eastern Cross/Library/The Second Letter of Clement
The Second Letter of Clement
The oldest Christian sermon
An early Christian · 2nd century
Despite its name it is not a letter and probably not by St. Clement. It is a sermon, read out to a congregation, calling them to repent and live as people who will see God.
It is the oldest complete Christian sermon that survives.
