Apostle Paul

died c. 64–67 · Rome · Feast June 29

Saul of Tarsus was a zealous Pharisee who hunted down Christians until the risen Christ appeared to him on the road to Damascus. Blinded for three days, he was baptized by Ananias and spent the rest of his life preaching to the nations. He crossed the Roman world on foot and by sea, founded churches from Galatia to Greece, and wrote fourteen of the letters of the New Testament. He was shipwrecked, stoned and imprisoned, and as a Roman citizen he was beheaded on the road outside Rome. Tap a journey on the globe to follow his travels.
